TOUR

Just a reminder that i have not had all the deposits in yet for the tour.I need a deposit of £20 per person who is going. I need this money in by wednesday 7th at the latest. The total cost for the tour is £50 per person and this also includes breakfast on the sunday and monday mornings. Tour dates saturday 02/05 to monday 04/05 this is a bank holiday weekend. We have a coach booked to pick us up from worcester saturday morning and have a fixture arranged on the afternoon against beckenham .We will be playing in the worthing 10s tournament on the sunday. The hereford u/15s will be joining us on tour which will enable us to enter 2 teams into the 10s tournament.We will be staying at YHA SHOREHAM which is about 30 minutes from worthing.We will be travelling back on the monday afternoon.Final balance/payment will be due by the end of february .

DUTY CREW

A big thankyou to all the parents and girls who helped out last sunday at our duty crew day. Hope you all have a merry christmas and will see you back at training on sunday the 4th january

Training and duty crew/tour

This wednesday is our last training session before christmas. Training will be from 8 onwards and all parents are welcome to join in.Next sunday we have duty crew. We will need parents to man the bridge etc from 10 -12.30. Next sunday is good chance to raise funds for the tour. We will be doing a raffle next sunday so will need all players to bring one raffle prize to training on wednesday and we will need players to sell raffle tickets next sunday as well. I need a deposit this week if you are going on tour and how many parents will be going as well £20 each. Tour 02/05/2009 to 04/05/2009. Ther will be a band etc in the club house next sunday after the mini juniors have finished training.

COUNTY MATCH

Today we played a county tournament at Southam. Due to the hugh number of players not being available we were only able to put in one team a combined herefordshire/worcestershire team. The team put in a good overall performance against a combined warwick/shropshire and greater birmingham team.Trys were scored by hettie X2 /libby/katie and charlotte. 2 converted by katie. We conceeded 2 tries in the game but came out winners 29-10.Most pleasing today was the fact that we actually rucked which is something we have been working on a lot. Thanks for all the parents who drove today

Sunday 14/12 County Tournament

Next sunday is the county tournament at Southam RUFC, Kineton Rd, Southam, Warks, CV47 2DG. http://www.southamrufc.org.uk/. Please meet at worcester at 10 or at southam at 11.15. Please let us know asap if you are not available for next sunday.

MATCH REPORT 07/12

Today we played a triangular against Melbourne and Thornbury.First game was against melbourne. Worcester started strongly and scored early through Aimie but melbourne then scored 2 tries to make it 5-10 to them at half time. The second half worcester stepped up a gear and scored 3 tries Zeta1 and Hettie 2 which 1 was converted. Final score 22-10 to worcester.Next game was against Thornbury. The first half was very close and it was o-o at half time. The second half thornbury scored 3 tries 2 converted and worcester scored 1 by Liv which was converted by Zowie. Final score 19-7 to Thornbury.We learnt a lot today and there are several areas to still work on. Over all it was a good performance which is what we are looking at more than the result. Special thanks to Taya/ Harriet/ Aimie /Lish and Ellie who all played in the forwards as we only had 3 forwards available today .
