Just to confirm todays information given at the end of training. We will inform you wednesday of the squad we are taking to this round of the cup next week as we can only select so many players.This does not guarantee that you will play next sunday but we will try to give everyone some game time if possible.If not selected for this game please come along and support if possible as we are all part of the same team even if you are not playing.

NATIONAL CUP 05/04

Now have more information about the cup. We are playin at Old Northamptonians RFC .Billing Road. Northampton. NN1 5RX .There are supposed to be 4 teams at this venue us,burfield,old northamptonians and ?.Will confirm teams later this week if i can.Looks like we will meet there at 12.15 or leave worcester at 10.15.Have only had 1 player confirm that they are not available so i will take it that you are all available.We will let you know the team on wednesday as we cannot take everyone.Please come along and support your team anyway.See you all sunday.

MATCH 22/03

Today we played burfield at chaddesley corbett rfc.Match played in quarters to give us a chance to change players and make it cup related. To say we have had better days would be a good way of suming up the match. Did not start very well and had a lot of handling errors which carried on through the whole match and this effected the overall performance.Lost the game 19-12 and our 2 trys were scored by liv and kate and one converted by kate.Have a lot of things to work on in our next 3 training sessions before the first round of the cup.Would like to welcome ERIN who played her first game today for worcester. Abig thank you to tricia who sorted the food today and all the parents who helped her with this. Thanks to chaddesley for hosting these games and all the parents who drove today as well.

TRAINING

As off next week training is from 7.30 till 9. We will also be moving outdoors and training on the westons pitches. Please bring appropiate clothing for the outdoor conditions.

MATCH 15/03

Todays match was a game against players from greater birmingham and warwickshire.Thanks to all the girls who played for the opposition today as this helped give all the girls more chance to play.You should take a lot of positives out of the game as there were good performances from all of you today and you proved that you can play when the regional girls are not available.For information you won the match 48-39. Trys were from Zoex4/ Ellie/Dude/Izzy R and Izzy H and Zoe converted 4.There were also trys for Jenna and Demi who scored when playing for the opposition and playing there first games today. Keep up the good work and improvement.

SUNDAYS MATCH/TOUR

Just to confirm that sundays match at worcester will be a 2 oclock kick off.Please meet at the club at 12.45.If you can not make sundays match please let me or tricia know asap.Please remember i need the rest of the tour money in this weekend. Some of you have paid but there is alot that have still not paid up. I can not pay for the hostel and the coach until i have your money in.

UPCOMING MATCHES

Over the next 4 weeks we have some important matches happening.We are playing welwyn on the 29/03. On the 05/04 is the first round of the national cup so we need to know if you are not available for this match asap.

Sunday 15/03

We now have a fixture at worcester on sunday 15/03.It will be against a combined side with girls from clubs in warwickshire and birmingham.This match is aimed at the girls who are not in the regional squad and some of the greyhounds girls will be hopefully joining us for this fixture.We are hoping for a 1 oclock kick off but this will be confirmed later in the week.

SUNDAY 08/03

This coming sunday is regional training and pdd. These events are at the same venues as before .The regional is at kings norton and the pdd is at five ways. Please meet at 12.30 for a 1 oclock start for both venues.These should be finished by 3.30.

CIRENCESTER MATCH

Today we played cirencester at minety rfc. We started off strongly and soon had a couple of trys.Due to an injury to one of the cirencester girls first jo then izzy played for them to keep the game at 13 a side.We kept the pressure on them and scored 3 more trys before halftime.The second half was a lot tighter and we conceeded a couple of trys at the end but the result was never in doubt and the final score was worcester 43 cirencester 20.Tackling has improved today but there are still a few areas to work on and the performance was better.Jess played her first game today for worcester inside centre and then at flyhalf and soon looked settled in the team.Todays scorers izzy x2 hettie x2 libby x2 and lish with zoe converting 4 of these.Thanks to all the parents who drove today.
